Where will the conference take place?
Back to the roots. For the 2nd conference we decided to use the venue of the first conference in the middle of Basel city at the Kollegienhaus on Petersplatz. So SESCAS22 will take place at the Kollegienhaus, a facility of University of Basel.
The Kollegienhaus was built and inaugurated in 1939 as a substitute domicile of the university center of Basel after the building at Rheinsprung became too small to accommodate its students. An old facility? No! As it was renovated in the early 2000s, it is perfectly equipped to host the conference (in-person and via online access) and, as the historic building has a beautifully developed in-house garden, you can have your coffee break outside and enjoy the sunshine.

by train
The University of Basel is very easy to reach by public transport. From either the Basel SBB train station or from the Badischer Bahnhof train station, you can reach the "Universität" bus stop in about ten minutes with bus line 30.
by car
Coming from the A2/A3 follow the signposting Basel-Süd/City. Then exit Basel-Süd/West Universitätsspital to reach the parking lot of the hospital. Due to the difficult parking situation, we recommend finding a place to park your car and then using public transport. It might be easier and, anyway, it's more sustainable.
by plane
From EuroAirport, take airport bus line 50 to SBB station, then change to line 30. Remember to buy your city-ticket from one of the green boxes so you won't catch a fine.
